Over the years we have perfected our evening and sleep routines so that we could both heal from chronic illness, and wake up reliably refreshed and excited to greet the day. But it wasn’t always this way. 

I used to dread going to bed because I would lie awake anxious and restless. In the morning I would have to force myself to get out of bed by creating a panic attack. This would finally give me enough “energy” to get up and start the day.

Michael had debilitating teeth grinding, and woke up more exhausted than when he went to bed each night. It used to take him 10 hours to wake up fully. He would struggle to get to sleep and then waking up was even worse.
